Attendance — Daily or Per-Period, QR-Ready

Mark attendance on a register or scan QR ID cards. Toggle daily vs per-period mode, print cards from a template, and flow totals straight into the term report.

01 · The challenge

What actually goes wrong in a real term

Marksheet gives schools a structured way to record student and staff attendance. Attendance can be taken manually or through QR-card scanning, depending on how the school chooses to operate.

Without a proper system, attendance lives in five different books, the percentage by Friday is a guess, and QR cards without a template just lengthen the gate queue.

02 · How Marksheet provides the solution

How the module is built — files, flows and the details that matter

The school can record whether students are present or absent, take attendance for specific periods or on a daily basis, record staff attendance, use QR cards to make attendance recording faster, enter attendance for multiple students at once, view attendance in a spreadsheet-style format, print attendance records, export attendance information, and include attendance information in term results.

Teachers or authorised staff can record attendance directly in the system, using either daily attendance or per-period attendance. Schools can also configure QR ID cards for students so that authorised staff can scan a student's QR card to record attendance instead of manually finding each student on the attendance list.

03 · How it helps the school

What changes for teachers, parents and the proprietor

Better attendance records: Keep attendance information organised instead of relying entirely on paper registers.

Faster recording: QR scanning can speed up the process.

Flexible: Schools can use daily or lesson-by-lesson attendance.

Easy reporting: Attendance records can be viewed, printed and exported.

Connected to academic records: Attendance can form part of the student's term result.

In simple terms: Marksheet makes it easier for schools to record, review and report student and staff attendance without depending entirely on paper registers.
